I watched the film adaptation more than a year ago. I liked it, and I understand that while Moore does not, Lodge does. I consider them different entities as a result of the changes. While they are not completely divergent, they are notable changes to the ending and fates of characters. The graphic novel is understandably more involved and includes more characters and stories. I highly recommend reading the book, and then watching the movie.

Thanks for the review. I loved the film and the few comics I have read by Moore (the Promethea series and Halo Jones). I think my husband has a copy of the graphic novel I can pinch.
i watched V for Vendetta recently, genius effects, amazing how much character they developed into a mask. idealogical to boot, loved it.
V for vendetta is a fabulous movie that is well executed in style and beauty. The job, I must say, is very well done. This movie will stay with you far beyond your leaving the theatre and will keep growing on you.
